Education

"Train a child in the way he should go and when he is old he will not depart from it." ï»¿Proverbs 22:6
Curriculum

In a typical school year, there are 180 lessons taught which cover aspects of social studies, language arts, math, phonics, science, pre-reading numeracy skills, language acquisition and more.  Additionally, we incorporate daily activities (physical, academic and spiritually based) which cover all aspects of a child's development.  Learning and singing songs, reading and listening to stories, seeing puppet plays, engaging in outside games and coordinated activities, building towers of sand and blocks, and learning to socialize is just a small part of what is covered at Little Bits of Heaven.

Grade Reports

Every 9 weeks we distribute report cards which is intended to report a child's performance in areas of academics, behavior, socialization, spiritual maturity, physical & emotional development, and other areas.

Safety & Peace of Mind

We maintain a ratio of 1:6, which is extremely rare for a preschool (state preschools are 1:12).  However, we enjoy the low ratio because it allows us to get to know the children and affords us many opportunities to teach and tend to their needs.

Little Bits of Heaven is fully insured in the event of an accident which requires emergency/medical attention.

Structure

Our preschool is structured around a 180 day school-year calendar.  The school year begins in September and ends mid June.  We establish the scope and sequence and all activities and assignments are developed around that schedule.

Additionally, we offer a Summer program (Summer Bits) which is designed to 1) introduce children to preschool; and 2) get children ready for Kindergarten.  Enrollment for our Summer program begins March 1st.
